Algebra I is one of my top subjects!

I have been tutoring at Forsyth Technical Community College since September 2008. I work on average, over the 5 years, 15 hours a week, but now working 21 hours a week since I am now out of school. I have done private tutoring for about 3 years now, either with people from met from school or from tutoring. I got a BS in both Mathematics and Computer Science in May of 2013. Math and computers have always been my strength, and when getting my degree, I would always help my friends in their classes.
It depends on the student and what they are doing. If all they need is practice, then I will let the student do all of the work, interjecting only to give advice or to correct a mistake if the student does not catch it themselves. My teaching style varies from student to student. I like to get to know the student in order to maximize their understanding of the subject. Everybody does learn differently, so I am open to change for that said student.
To be honest I do not really have any experience of being a tutor. I am a senior at Reagan High school and for the most part I tutor other classmates and family members. Mostly recently I broaden my range to elementary to high school. I do very well in mathematics except for geometry, Pre-cal, abd calculus because i am not registered for those classes. Algebra I is one of my top subjects!

I have worked in the school system for 14 years. I have been a Teacher, Teacher Assistant, Substitute Teacher, a Lead Teacher in a Child Care Center, and a Director of a Center. I have worked with all ages. I have worked with babies all the way through high school. I have worked with general education and special education. I am pretty easy going when it comes to not knowing, but I do not play when it comes to school. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. If you don't use it then you will lose.
