A Little Bit About Me...

I am a Pre-medical and Philosophy Student who recently graduated from Northwestern University. I have been an A-student all my life, and I have been teaching science and liberal arts subjects to my classmates and colleagues for years. I also have a research background with Northwestern Medical School and love working with kids and trying to help others learn. I have an extremely strong science background due to my pre-medical training, as well as in reading and writing from the many essays and critical reading analyses from my Philosophy background.

Many children struggle with classroom learning because they require a different learning method than the one being offered or more direct attention than a teacher of 20+ students can offer. As a dyslexia therapist I was instructed in a number of different approaches to teaching and how to match each one to an individual student's needs. As a tutor I make it my priority to learn not only which subjects a student needs help with but also why they are struggling at all which allows me to adapt the lesson plan in a way that is easy for them to understand and retain.
