I utilize elements of each of the five teaching styles; however, I prefer the I Do, We Do, You Do style of learning. I firmly believe in providing clear instruction and demonstration of each concept. Then, the student and I work together to master a concept. After that, I provide the student an opportunity to practice and demonstrate his/her mastery of the material in a variety of situations. If the student still needs help, I reteach. I believe in positive reinforcement. Every student can succeed. No one succeeds if he/she feels unimportant or unsuccessful. Attitude is as essential to success as a mastery of content.

My bachelor of science degree in businss administration has allowed me pursue my career goals as a computer programmer analyst while i was employed at Alabama State University where I assisted the faculty and staff with computerized reports for students as welll as tutoring college students and high school students. I attained credible knowledge in the nine years i was employed at the institution. I enjoyed communicating and assisting students. I love to learn and help others to learn. Different people learn differently; therefore, I present material in a number of ways until I discover how the tutee learns. With that information and plenty of patience everyone learns their own way and at their own speed. My goal is to not only help students improve their grades but to also learn the material.
I am a fall graduate from Troy University and will be graduating with honors. I am currently a peer tutor at Troy in biology and math (algebra). I have tutored privately before in high school math (algebra and geometry. I graduated 9th in my high school with honors earning an advanced diploma with an honor's seal. I love school and love to learn. I will be enrolled in Amridge University in January to pursue my master's degree.
