My comments on tutoring Basic Learning Skills : I am in the process to becoming an elementary school teacher, so I have a lot of experience within a classroom and teaching basic learning skills.

I would say my teaching style is really focused on the student and what they need. In school I was an average student never getting lower than a C or higher than in an A. So I really want to focus on listening to the student, especially because they probably are not heard at school. I want to make each subject interesting to the student, whether that means going out and playing basketball or chess or candy or anything the student absolutely loves. I want to attach each subject to a good memory, I don't want to pressure them or push them to just memorize facts that I know they will probably forget after they are tested. From my own personal experience I want any student I tutor to turn around and actually enjoy learning about a subject they are having trouble with.

BILINGUAL IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH ABLE TO TUTOR FROM K-12

I' ve been working for about 18 years with students from Kindergarten through 12 grade in the Petaluma Schools District in the city of Petaluma, California. I've had experience teaching English as a second language and tutoring experience teaching math, language and science. Since I've worked in a classroom setting as a Bilingual Instructional Assistant, I have acquired a lot of experience from a diverse teaching styles.
