BILINGUAL IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH ABLE TO TUTOR FROM K-12

According to the need of the student, some students are fast learning, some are slow, this is very important taking in consideration because my philosophy is that "Everybody is able to learn", we just have different learning styles.
I' ve been working for about 18 years with students from Kindergarten through 12 grade in the Petaluma Schools District in the city of Petaluma, California. My comments on tutoring Basic Learning Skills : I am in the process to becoming an elementary school teacher, so I have a lot of experience within a classroom and teaching basic learning skills.

I would say my teaching style is really focused on the student and what they need. In school I was an average student never getting lower than a C or higher than in an A. So I really want to focus on listening to the student, especially because they probably are not heard at school. I want to make each subject interesting to the student, whether that means going out and playing basketball or chess or candy or anything the student absolutely loves. I want to attach each subject to a good memory, I don't want to pressure them or push them to just memorize facts that I know they will probably forget after they are tested. From my own personal experience I want any student I tutor to turn around and actually enjoy learning about a subject they are having trouble with.

As an Adult Education teacher I taught learners from High School age through 70 year-olds. I taught office occupations; ESL; and GED, ABS, HS diploma and citizenship. I developed knowledge and skills in many content areas and in the management of students.
