My comments on tutoring Pre-Algebra : The proper basis presented in pre-algebra is also important to build one skills for further advancement. Teaching the formulas and the ideas incorporated therein increases the reasoning skills and the understanding of applications where these ideas can be applied in life.

I have worked in several different types of industries from hotels, restaurants, travel, mortgage companies, transportation, banks, theater, real estate and other primarily service businesses. Most of my interests lie in the financial and accounting parts of these businesses because of the importance of not only being able to present an accurate picture of the company's condition at only one time, but also to make sure that there were no mistakes, thefts being covered up, or other discrepancies. Very large companies have had loans go bad due to the improper accounting of transactions by the business owners.
My teaching style needs to respond to the needs of the individual. There are several styles of learning so I need to understand the individual to best know how to teach them the skills they need to pass the course.

Pre-Algebra is one of my top subjects! A

This is not very professional sounding, however I have helped all of my friends pass classes with As or Bs from 7th grade all the way to the end of high school. I never charged them. I live my life with the hope of changing one persons life each day in a better way. I will do whatever it takes to help someone learn and it makes me happy helping others. I have the highest ASVAB score the on my base for the Air Force and whenever there is free time I help tutor my sergeants with college math classes. Math is something I've been gifted with enjoying and naturally performing well. My Pre calculus teacher had me set up study times to help everyone else get through the class. Leading innovation for education.

Education is a viable tool for the kids in this generation. Technology also plays a role in the learning environment. In my experience, I find often times that it isn't enough for a child to read material and have a clear understanding. Visual concepts as well as real life examples makes all the difference between learning the subject and failing to understand the general concepts behind the subject itself.
Before moving to Tucson, I found myself helping other students, sometimes elementary and sometimes high school or junior high. It became clear to them that most of my peers didn't understanding the lectures or in class notes that were provided. In fact, most of the examples never matched the tests that were given. I broke down the lessons into sub-divisions that students of all ages could understand.
