I started tutoring students middle and high school prior to graduating college. I have taught part-time college students at various institutions since 1996. I also have worked as an independent tutor part-time. I have more than 30 years of experience teaching as a one-on-one tutor and as a college instructor. I currently teach at Wake Tech Community College. I have taught at Strayer University, Campbell University, Mount Olive College, Durham Tech Community College, Central Carolina Community College and Vance-Granville Community College. While obtaining my Master's degree in Accounting, I worked as a Professor's Assistant which involved substitute teaching, research, and grading exams and homework. A Little Bit About Me...

I am passionate about teaching. I prefer teaching foreign language through a hands-on approach. Everyone is capable of learning, we just have to find their learning style. With foreign language, I use flashcards, simple songs and interesting stories to incorporate the language. My goal is to get the student to retain the language, not just memorize it. I show my students that they can benefit in careers and life through the knowledge of a second language. If the student can see foreign language as an asset and skill they can use for the rest of their life, they are more likely to put in the effort it takes to master the language.
