Throughout my college career to obtain my science teaching license, I have had multiple field experiences teaching classes and tutoring individual students in the field of science. My peers often turned to me for help in classes, because I was one of the top students in my classes with excellent social skills. I believe in hands on learning and demonstrations to learn scientific concepts. Mathematical work requires repetition and understanding of equations to obtain a concrete understanding of the material. As a young college student I understand that my experience doesn't compare to those with degrees and much time doing it. But I know that being an older sister to younger brothers and sisters while helping them with homework and watching them grow up is a type of tutoring. I have been there for all my brothers milestones, when he learned how to walk, learned to talk, and started to learn to read. I am very proud to say that I have been there every step of the way.
