Elementary Phonics is one of my top subjects!

I have high expectations of my adult students, but am understanding of the limited time most have. Therefore, I try to maximize class time and try to be flexible with scheduling. For my younger students, I prepare engaging lesson plans to foster a genuine interest in the subjects taught. All classes receive a monthly syllabus, and I track progress in order to give accurate feedback and to tailor lesson plans specifically to the student.

My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : Tutored young children for two years in the phonics and watched them improve greatly. Phonics is the corner stone to the path to being a proficient reader.

As a parent, I was able to finish my degree in 2003 and return back to college as an adult student. Being a parent as well as a teacher for five years, I saw that the experience of parenting firsthand before actually teaching in the classroom was very beneficial. I love the youth and the teens, and was hired as a Language Arts teacher for a junior high private school for the last five years. I taught English, writing skills, religion, and Literature. Because I was recently a graduate in 2003, I knew that the students needed to learn writing skills and therefore prepared them for for high school writing. I believe in teaching the whole student. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Green Bay with a degree in Elementary Education. Starting in high school I have been working with children in one way or another. I was a mentor to elementary students while in high school, where I helped with their homework as well as their language skills. While in college I tutored at an area middle school in all subjects that the students needed help with. During my student teaching, I spent the summer in Thailand teaching.
