During my involvement with the Marine Corps Junior Reserve Office Training Corps, I contributed 2,000 hours of community enrichment education and tutoring to at risk and low income youth. As an Under Graduate student at the University of Arizona, my tutoring continued for high school and underclassmen students in the areas of Biology, Physiology and Anatomy. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always enjoyed studying science, especially Biology. I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology in 2001. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored many colleagues in various subjects. I also precepted an upper division Plant Genetics course during my junior year. I assisted the Teaching Assistant with experimental set-ups and held office hours so I could meet with students to go over course material in preparation for exams. I obtained my PhD in Pharmacology and Cancer Biology in 2008. During my graduate studies, I mentored four graduate students and two undergraduates during their tenure in our laboratory.
