I attended Middle Tennessee State University from spring 1993-fall 1997, graduating in Dec. 1997 (B.S. degree). My major is art educ., my minor is secondary educ. My teaching license was in art educ./K-12. I was a member of The Gamma Beta Phi Society, the top 15% of my class. My gpa was 3.2 and I won two scholarships. I did my student teaching at the Lebanon High and at the Las Cassas Elementary Schools in fall 1997. I taught art at Mt. Juliet Elementary School, and taught private adult & children’s art classes at An Invitation to the Dance studio in Murfreesboro and at the Murfreesboro Art League. I hold a Bachelors degree in fine arts with a Painting emphasis and a double minor in Sculpture and Political Science. Both were received from Middle Tennessee State University. I was a senior member of the Middle Tennessee State University Student Art Alliance. I coordinated art exhibitions and judged works also planning gallery field trips and a tour of New York City to see the major art museums. I taught a semester as student teacher for the Model United Nations course. My home is full of art books new and old. I am an avid reader who studies new artists and believes in continuous study to hone my mind and craft.
