A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching and tutoring students of all ages for the last ten years. Having graduated with a BA in English, I have learned much about writing and the writing process that I believe could help students at all levels. I have tutored students in English, reading, science, social studies, math, music, and French.
It has been said that no one rises to low expectations. I believe that every child CAN learn, but that the process of teaching each child must vary depending on their learning style. My life has been changed by art. As a child I took art lessons and learned that creativity is much more than making art. Creativity is a way to train your mind to think outside the box. Creativity can be applied to communicating and problem solving in many areas. I come from a family of educators. As a member of the Art Alliance I mentored fellow students on their work and helped them create a cohesive body of work and their artistic voice.
