A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had an interest in tutoring, starting in Elementary school where I would leave during recess in the fourth and fifth grade to spend time in my past Kindergarten teacher's classroom. There I would read to students, reinforce the teachings lead by the teacher, and serve as a role model. During my middle school summers I would return to that classroom to provide aid for the summer school kindergarteners before they were able to enter the first grade. I have a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a science concentration and upon finishing my student teaching immediately took a full time job completing the remainder of the school year (March-June 2005) teaching middle school math. In September of 2005 I began teaching middle school science and math as well as elementary school science labs at Santa Barbara Christian School. I taught at SBCS for three years and then worked as a clinician for the Lindamood-Bell Learning Program for the summer of 2008.
