Poetry is one of my top subjects! I have a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing Poetry and Prose which includes extensive studies in American, British, World Poetry; Epic Poetry; Modern and Post-Modern Poetry; Emily Dickenson; poetic analysis and close reading.

I have taught 6th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students. I expect hard work and dedication. I have had the unique opportunity throughout college to tutor in various areas. I was very active within a vocal performance group and had the opportunity to assist in public speaking venues frequently. I got the opportunity to assist in a fourth grade classroom, emphasizing the importance of public speaking. I just returned from a semester teaching (English) in Seoul, South Korea. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Wesleyan University in 2008. I earned a 3.64 GPA and was a college basketball player and member of the cross-country team. I tutored my teammates in English, Algebra, and Speech. I made 4.0 grades in most of my English classes. I wrote countless research papers and essays. I also completed one semester of law school at the University of South Carolina in 2009. I was also a volunteer Guardian ad litem for Pickens County from June 2008 until January 2010. I mentored 7 children during that time period.
