I like students to be comfortable, enjoy their experiences with me as much as possible, and learn not only the material they need to study, but also habits and practices that will help them with future studies.

Shakespeare is one of my top subjects! I have studied Shakespeare in both a literary and theatrical sense. I have acted in several Shakespeare performance and spent much of my time in college studying Shakespeare. I can help with understanding the language, the verse and prose, as well as the themes of each piece (play, sonnet, etc).

I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a B.A. in Theatre. I took the performance track but I also studied the technical side of theatre. I have experience in everything from directing to stage management, playwriting to design, build to running sound and lights. In the performance track I studied character and script analysis, acting techniques, movement, voice, audition techniques, play review, etc. I know how to take the script to performance and also how to write about what I have done or seen.
