I have tutored for a non-profit organization, Life Christian Church, as an after school program on Wednesdays free to the community. I have also taught English and History to home school students. One of the biggest accomplishments was watching of the students who detested writing papers because he did not believe he could do it, grow into a man who is not writing weekly papers confidently. Straight out of college, I began substitute teaching and then tutoring individuals. I specialized in English, reading skills, history, psychology, and counseling. Now, I'm a computer tutor, a technical writer on contract, and gone through countless hours on training for these skills, and am now considering a second career as a teacher for non native speakers, for career and computer coursework, and always for writing skills, particularly technical writing.
