My teaching style is based on building an empowering relationship between teacher and student. The aim in my teaching is to make the student into an out-going self-learner and to teach the student positive ways of challenging himself. If I were to label myself, I would call myself a patient, understanding teacher. I look for tools and ways to reach my student, often employing numerous aids for a single subject. My strategy to learning unknown subjects is very close to the same way children learn to walk, by immersion. Everything we learned as children was assimilated through watching, mimicking and attempting. I believe personal experience and learning are very close and in teaching I try to keep that in mind. I find myself a very visually inclined learner and utilize that to help others learn, such as drawing or watching videos. I have found that audio learners do well when given analogies and kinesthetic learners do well with drills or acting out what they have learned all to mimic what their learning so that it might sink in better much like how when we learned to say our first words.

I have worked with children since 1991. My concentration during my undergraduate studies was neuroendocrinology. However, after attaining my B.A. in Psychology, I loved working with children so much that I decided to work in the mental health field, serving children and adolescents. My experience of teaching is not in schools but I have trained many people in the art of rearing shrimp. I am very patient and encourage questions of any kind. I believe that a student needs to feel they can ask any question in order to fully understand. Any student can learn. There are many different personalities and many different ways of learning. A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned two bachelor degrees which has given me the chance to motivate other youths and kids to seek the world and don't let it end with High school. There is more to life. Granting that Education is the key to success and without education there will be no sense of direction.
I love working with kids. I believe that the kids are our future and if we adults don't help them grow up to be leaders and make better choices in their lives we will not have any sense of direction.
