I have a BA degree in Communications;Journalism. I have been substitute teaching for over 13 years. I have completed a Teacher Certification program and 2nd grade student teaching. As a substitute teacher I have held long term teaching assignments in 2nd grade, middle school reading, elementary special education, and high school. I have held Preferred Substitute Teacher List status in Michigan and Ohio.
My desire has always been to be a teacher. I enjoy working with children to reach their greatest potential. Everyone can learn but we may not all get there the same way or at the same time. I began to realize my love and aptitude for tutoring as a volunteer Japanese instructor for the Daikin home-stay program in 2006. The next two years I volunteered my time with Rosie's International Services tutoring Spanish.
