After many years of district honor, all state, and college honor bands, I continued with my music education in college, branching out into other instruments, musical genres, and different ensemble types. I also took various lessons with several different teachers on the same instruments to truly get a well rounded experience, while continuing to teach others. After college, I still continue to play and perform with various community and private organizations. I prefer long tone studies, followed by a chosen etude reflecting the desired skill currently being sought, then application via a prepared solo piece.
