My undergraduate background is in philosophy and my teaching experience is in mathematics. I am personally committed to communicating the value of knowing math principles to every person in their daily lives. Mathematics is a language for understanding problems and breaking complicated problems down into simple problems step by step. Math isn't just about numbers and variables; it is a mental habit of problem solving that can be used to de-mystify problems in every day life.
