I believe with all of my heart that every child can learn and be successful with the right tools. I teach by guiding my students towards their goals as I believe that discovery learning is the most effective. I also believe that students learn best in a comfortable, fun and structured environment which I will provide.
I have a passion for learning, teaching and helping others. I have earned a BS in mathematics as well as a MAE. I have over ten years of experience tutoring third grade through twelfth grade students and I am in my third year of teaching in public high schools.

A Little Bit About Me...

Too many students these days give up too easily when their studies get a little challenging. I want to be able to show students that it's the challenge in their studies that make their courses more worth while and memorable. I am approachable, social with all ages, and able to communicate well and accordingly to respective age groups. I encourage students to be honest with their troubles in academics. I believe in providing a comfortable and positive atmosphere for students to thrive and absorb. My style includes helping students find a joy in learning and furthering their academics post high school.

My teaching style is to lead the student into an understanding of the material through discussion, hands-on projects, practice and mastery. It is important to master the previous material before moving on to the new. It is also important to relate new topics to what the student already knows. This helps the student to not only understand it better but also to remember it better and use it correctly. I am patient and creative in finding ways to present ideas in ways that will connect with real life. I believe that all children can learn, given the right methods and the willingness to learn.
