It's impossible to build a house on a poor foundation and I believe in establishing strong, fundamental skills of drawing and painting first. These basic skills then allow a student to branch out according to their individual interests, from cartooning to design to landscape painting and on and on. For younger children I try to make up a song and sign it for them and they seem to learn better when u sign it.
