Upon graduation from college in the 80's, I taught adult education for three years. I then entered the business world, where I had a successful career in sales and operations management. In 2009, I chose to leave my corporate career and reenter education because of a desire to utilize my strengths and do something that helps people. I obtained my certification in English from the State of Connecticut in 2010. I attended Mount Saint Mary College where I obtained a degree in English with a concentration in adolescent education. Hired directly from my student teaching experience, I have worked for John Jay High School for four years now. I have taught ninth and tenth grade Regents English and ninth and tenth grade reading and writing intervention classes.
