My comments on tutoring Physics : Took several courses as an undergraduate in physics and received A grades.

I am a former Geology student at SUNY Cortland who graduated May 2015. Throughout my career I have proven my strengths in knowing, understanding, communicating, and sharing Geology/Earth Science. In high school I took basic Earth Science earning a 100 as a grade in the class and also received a 100 grade for the NYS Regents Exam. I continued this in college graduating Magna Cum Laude with multiple appearances on the president's/dean's lists and earned several awards for success in Geology. I also was vice president of Geology Club for 2 years. Most importantly, I was a teaching assistant for the Earth Science portion of the integrated Earth Science/Biology course at SUNY Cortland for 2 semesters. A Little Bit About Me...

As a tutor at Eastern University I came to the realization that not all students learned in the same way. I have a different teaching style as compared to the teachers putting things into real life examples, or even making things hands on so my students understand better. I try to tailor my style to the student. Each student I had tutored when I was in college I had basically spoke with them, got to learn what they strong points were, their weaknesses, and areas that needed more base learning. I tailored lesson plans to help fill in their educational gaps, created small weekly assignments, and also helped with their current homework/lesson plan. I believe everyone learns in different ways. Some are more visual, others are more auditory so I tried to not only explain but also show by using whatever tools necessary/applicable (graphs, pictures, charts, etc.)

I independently designed and carried out experiments relating to thermodynamics, scanning tunneling microscopy, and self-assembled monolayers. I was a part of other research projects involving the same, as well as nanoparticles, molecular electronics, and surface catalysis. Also , I was an active chemistry tutor, officially and unofficially.
