My teaching follows the experiential learning paradigm with a focus on utilizing the student’s inherent creative skills in order to relate information and pursue skill attainment and enhancement. The tutoring will be very “hands-on” for the student during the sessions, getting them to actively participate in a learning atmosphere by targeting multiple skill-sets, modes of learning, and intelligences. The top priority is providing an educational “experience,” rather than just relaying information, in order to help youth grow as humans, as well as students. My style of teaching is to first get the student to understand the basics that are needed as a foundation. For example, my friend was having trouble completing accounting homework and I soon realized that it was because he had not memorized the basic equations; i.e., "assets - liabilities = owner's equity," and "beginning inventory + purchases - ending inventory = cost of goods sold."
