A Little Bit About Me...

During my four years of experience at the University of Scranton, I have tutored numerous high school and college students in algebra, geometry, and calculus. I am going to obtain my bachelor's degree in secondary education on May 31, 2009, with a concentration in mathematics. I have just completed student teaching, where I taught and tutored students in Algebra I. I have completed an Honors Program thesis on technology use in the classroom, and have found ways to implement the technology into my lessons. I have helped students of all ability levels and have received nothing but high praise from my tutees.

I have valued teaching since I was in elementary school. I believe that a teacher has one of the most important professions, as they teach and guide the future of our country. Since I realized my continued success in not only learning mathematics, but being able to teach others that did not understand mathematics, I decided that teaching was the right path for me. I believe that mathematics may be one of the most disliked subjects for most students, and my goal as a teacher is to change that opinion.
