I love teaching and working with children and peoples of all ages. I look for each individuals way of learning and apply an apporpriate method that will make the material understandable for the particular student. Sometimes, experimenting with a student and trying different techniques is the best method. Having a student use flash cards, reading aloud, or having the material read to the student are a few of the ways I use to convey material to be learned.I believe that it is a teachers job to identify learning blocks to help a student achieve to the best of his or her ability. Also, part of the GSSM curriculum required students to do summer research at a 4-year institution in South Carolina. I did behavioral neuroscience research at USC. My interests then lead me to attend USC for college, and I went there for two years with a double major: English and Psychology. After a while, I found that research was not my life passion, and I transferred to Clemson University and changed my major to Animal and Veterinary Science, with the hope of going to veterinary school.
