Patient, positive, effective, and experienced tutor

My name is Cristina, and I love to tutor:) I have tutored and/or taught almost every age group. I was a writing tutor for three years in college and also held a graduate assistantship in which I proofread documents to be submitted for publication. I have also helped elementary-age students with their homework at an after-school program at a local elementary school. Currently I work with young children at The Goddard School and love it. Through this, I have experience helping children with their letters. I have a Master's degree in Clinical and Community Psychology.

A Little Bit About Me...

I obtained my BA in Social Work and have worked in that field since 1993. In 2005 I began a part time job as an Adult Education instructor for Sentinel Career Center where my primary focus was language arts/writing. I was part of the STAR reading program where I became certified to teach adults to read. In this program and as a GED instructor I have tutored many individuals of varying ages, education levels and backgrounds. In my work as a social worker, I work primarily with children with mental health issues/learning disabilities where the focus is on behavior, organizational,study and communication skills and parenting education.
