To me chemistry has always been an exciting but often misunderstood science. The average person doesn't realize how much chemistry is around them and how chemistry is a fundamenal part of nature. I believe that relating chemistry to our everyday lives can be fundamental to having a better appreciation of the science. Getting the student recognize this can elp to instill a greater desire to master the subject. PC's have gone from a curiosity to now be a neccessity. Teaching was not something that I sought out to do, but that happened due to paths that I took in life. My first experience came as a graduate student, where I was a TA for an undergraduate level intro media class, where I graded lecture tests, as well as taught a lab section. It was an enjoyable experience, but my interests didn't rest within teaching at the time.
