I'm capable of teaching vocal lessons. I prefer classical to pop. I believe that every child is unique and needs to have a teaching style unique to them I have been doing something in music for 30 years. I have a B.A in music from Wright State University which I obtained in 2003. I also have 6 years of private music instruction on various instruments. I have played in several different groups consisting of a wide range of music. I have classical training but I also know how to teach rock, pop, jazz and metal on certain instruments

Although I have not had a lot of individual vocal instruction, I have taken part in many musicals and was in my choir and show choir throughout high school. I also studied music education and musical theatre for a bit in college. I do not have a definitive teaching style. When teaching someone, I usually try to adapt to their learning style, and if they do not have a strategy that works, I help them develop a good learning style and get comfortable with it. I like to think I make learning difficult things more fun and approachable. I absolutely love performing and any aspect of theatre. I love learning and growing in my theatre knowledge and experiences. I have been performing in some way my whole world and love to share my passion with others. I taught in the inner city of Pittsburgh as reading tutor. In Columbus I taught music, reading, special education, and all other subjects from Preschool through high school. I tutored Whitehall high school students in their homes. I enjoyed teaching almost every day in different school districts for years. I have a masters degree in school counseling which has enabled me to understand the needs of most students. My goal is to help each child learn as much as possible but at the same time enjoy learning. Children need lots of love and attention. As a music Education major, I studied the vocal techniques and instruments of piano, flute and piccolo. I have studied piano since age four - which is 28 years - from a private teacher by the name of Judy Nihlen. I have also been a member of a French Sorority in college, speaking almost fluent French. I have composed several musical compositions growing up and all throughout college. I arranged choral piece by W. A. Mozart from a Mozart aria.
