I am capable of both structured and informal teaching styles depending upon the situation. I find that when smaller increments of course instruction is followed up with the student demonstrating proficiency and comprehension the overall learning experience is maximized. Repetition is normally the best way to comprehend not only the material presented but it allows the student to assimilate the steps and formulas simulataneously.

I want to help students be the best they can be.

I have tutored a few students, but I would love to tutor more and gain new experiences. My students all had a "C" or below in math and I helped raise them to a "B" or an "A". I have taken and passed Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Analysis of Functions, and Trigonometry. All of those were of the Honors level. In my experience, fear and self-consciousness interfere the most with learning. This seems especially true of arithmetic and higher levels of math. I don't believe that children should force themselves to memorize something they don't understand just to please a teacher. It is my job to find a way to make it clear.
