I have a rare gift of being able to impart practical examples of academic principles. In one experience with a former student I explained calculus in a way that she could relate the rate of change to a physical experience in a way that it came alive. Over the course of my education, I have developed a strong understanding of math and science courses. In addition, I have a passion for the arts, psychology and management. Attending both a community college as well as a large 4-year institute has exposed me to a variety of teaching styles. Through this I have learned effective ways to explain and work through different learning styles. I like to take the time to learn about the student themselves, and try to understand the problem specific to the individual. During my studies at SUNY Buffalo I tutored in Regents Math which I also took when I was in high school. In Virginia Tech I was a Graduate Research Assistant. I ran Aerospace Engineering labs, assigning work to undergraduate students which I graded. I was available for multiple hours per week assisting students in their homework and lab reports.
