I was homeschooled for the majority of my education which enabled me to assit my younger brothers and sisters in their studies. I taught a few Science classes including botony and a study of birds and have tutored in highschool math as well. I played volleyball, took 3 years of piano, and was a member of Chior as well. I worked as a teachers aide in a preschool for 2 years. I worked with children from the age of 6 weeks to 5 years. I plan on going to college for either business or diognostic sonography.
I love working with kids of all ages. All children are unique and they all learn in different ways. Every student is unique and has different ways of doing things. In a swimming pool, you can see physical improvements in technique which ultimately improves performance. In teaching, it is different. It is sometimes very difficult to see the "light bulb" go on when a student finally grasps a new concept. I take different approaches in different situation to help students achieve results.

I love teaching in a hands on style in which the student not only has an algorithm of how to solve a specific problem, but has a thorough understanding of the concepts behind the algorithm. I enjoy having analogies or hands-on activities to demonstrate the concepts. I believe that many times people understand the basic concepts from physics in their daily life, but are frightened by equations. Using analogies or hands-on examples initially reinforces their knowledge and increases their confidence which decreases the fear of equations. A Little Bit About Me...
