Who Wants To Be A Francophone Too?

I began my French career roughly ten years ago. I knew that French would be at the very center of my existence. Therefore, I decided to dedicate my studies to the language. I even wound up living in France for over a year. I lived in Paris for six months and Montpellier for the rest of the year. It was one of the best experiences of my life; it truly taught me what it means to speak and to understand French, which is why I have made it my goal to aide others in understanding the oftentimes difficult language.

My comments on tutoring Shakespeare : I completed a course at UNC-CH on Shakespeare for my degree. I can quote Hamlet and summarize/analyze the major works, but I'm not a fanatic.

I have a degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and have two years experience writing for the Daily Tar Heel. I have also completed internships with the local NPR station, WUNC, and with the organization AGRADU (Advocates for Grassroots Development in Uganda). I am highly organized, responsible, and driven, and am very personable. I work well with children and young adults; I am the oldest of five children and during high school and college, I worked as a dance teacher and nanny. I'm currently working on publishing my first novel.

I am here to help students to become better writers!

I have helped many of my friends and other students become better writers throughout and beyond my college career. I have seen all of these students gain good grades for their work, and they also became better writers through the process. Writing papers is one of the few things I found easy in college. I enjoyed writing and the process so much that I majored in the subject. I have written way too many ten- twenty page papers in my life, struggled to see the project come to a close, and rejoice in happiness after the grade was posted/ returned. In tutoring math, the individual needs to have their homework present and, if available, old/recent tests so they may learn from the past as well as the present. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy knowing that I can have such a great influence in a child’s future.
