I have undergraduate degrees in history and journalism as well as graduate degrees in history. I have also worked in the public history field as a museum interpreter and educator. Progress not perfection

In school I'm often choosen to help other students learn material that they are struggling with. Some things such as history and english come naturally for me so I'm confident that I can help other people learn those subjects as well. My approach is to encourage students to define their learning goals and then to discover how the learning the content can help them achieve their goals. I like to use real life examples to help students recall what they have learned. I am less interested in rote memorization. I tend to be structured and patient.
