Progress not perfection

In school I'm often choosen to help other students learn material that they are struggling with. Some things such as history and english come naturally for me so I'm confident that I can help other people learn those subjects as well. I feel comfortable working with all types of students because everyone has potential to be great at any subject they want to as long as they are willing to put in 100 percent!

Elementary Math is one of my top subjects! I have a technique for teaching elementary math to even the most uninterested student. All of my children knew their multiplication tables at age 5. It's about making it fun.

I have a law degree, but most of my experience comes from working with my own kids and spending hundreds of hours volunteering at their schools helping other children. I home schooled my children for 3 years for the middle school years and so I have experience motivating the surly teen who has no motivation to work as well as the young child that just wants to play. I also taught my children and many others how to read at very young ages and have perfected the technique for teaching children math and reading who love to move. One of my children had ADD and so I know how to work well with this issue. I also have a technique for teaching multiplication and math to very young children. I've always believed that children learn by doing. I would rather have my students get real hands-on experience because concepts can be better attained and understood if children get real experience with it. I also believe that children learn differently from one another and a teacher should be able to accommodate the different learning styles of her or his students.
