During my undergrad I spent a year in Peru, South America learning and studying Spanish. When I returned from Peru, I completed a Bachelor's Degree in Religious Studies with a minor in Spanish. At present I am completing a Master's Degree at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I currently work at Huntington Learning Center tutoring elementary and middle-schoolers in math and verbal skills and help high school students prepare for the ACT. Disregarding my history, ethics, and religion expertise, my main reason for applying is my confidence in my capabilities to teach English. Basic parts of speech, syntax, grammar, organization, rhetoric, and multiple genres--from correct usage to specialized purposes (such as academic papers, business, text for oral delivery) have been mastered. In terms of mathematics, I taught GED, which covered most basic functions; however, I am a humanities person. My preferences are in the areas where I have spent most of my time.
