I have been an educator for 23 years,as an elementary school teacher, and in special education at the secondary level. I have a master's degree in learning disabilities, and have worked on a Child Study Team for the past 14 years. I believe all children can learn if taught to their individual learning style. I am a firm believer that teaching style should encompass diversity of instruction and assessment because the students themselves are very diverse. I will begin each lesson with an agenda and an intended learning goal. Instruction of the lesson will be delivered through a variety of media including text, videos, animations, etc. that would enhance the student’s learning. The student will then be given many opportunities to refine their understanding of the lesson through independent research during which I will provide insight and motivation wherever possible.
