A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with children daily. I love to encourage, support and motivate them to stay focussed. I work as a TA in an SDC(Special Day Class) with students with have Autism, ADHD, ED, and Dyslexic. I teach in small groups and one-on-one settings. Learning can be fun!

My style is a learner centered one. I believe in guided learning, where the students make discoveries themselves while at the same time feeling supported and directed. I believe that everyone can learn, and discovering each student's style of learning while promoting confidence is very important to me.
I am currently teaching English as a second language to post-secondary international students at California State University Sacramento. I teach all areas of English, including grammar, composition, reading, and listening and speaking skills. I have taught beginning English to refugees in Sacramento, as well as English as a foreign language in Guatemala and Honduras.
