The instructor must become one with the student and understand them on their level. Once you can see eye to eye with your students, then you can begin to help them learn and grow. I have always been a good teacher. I scored very well on the SAT exams, and I have extensive tutoring experience. I scored in the upper 10 percentile on the Mathmatics portion of the SATs. I also have been studying non stop for the CPA exam. I would love to pass on knowledge to someone else. Tutoring is rewarding.
Great Question. I have been in classes where I found learning a challenge. This is what makes me unique as a teacher. I build a relationship with the student. I do my best to not only explain the material, but how they can possibly use it in the future. I also have the best patience. I really believe learning science is meant to be an experience, not just an exercise in memorization. I like to teach things with hands-on activities and field experiences. I feel like this helps the student internalize things more effectively and allows them to see that science truly can be FUN!
