Saxophone is one of my top subjects! My primary instrument is tenor saxophone; but I can also teach alto and baritone. I'm an undergraduate student pursuing a jazz composition degree. I can teach both new sax players and middle-level sax players. I have experience playing in big bands, jazz combos, and three years of music theory. I can also teach music theory, clarinet, and piano upon request.

I can teach hands on saxophone instruction one-on-one or in a group. I can also give written and interactive music theory lessons.
I've been playing tenor saxophone for two years, clarinet for ten years, and I took advanced music theory in college. My playing experiences have included college big band, jazz combos, five years of grade school symphonic band, and singing with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in 2013. I took AP Music Theory while I was in high school. I have a small amount of ability in playing piano and violin.

A Little Bit About Me...

I use a hands-on approach when teaching my students. I believe the only way to master anything is by doing it. I encourage my students to incorporate their ideas, and give me ideas as well, so that I may cater to his/her learning style. I am patient,nurturing, and very understanding that not everyone catches everything the first time,but with patience,diligence, and much practice we can all succeed at any task at hand. For these reasons I do not discourage students from making mistakes, but encourage them to learn from those mistakes, and seize every opportunity. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with all children. I believe that my teaching should be differientiated to fit the learning style of each student I work with. This is because all children learn differently and i have to use which strategy that works best with each particular student. All children can learn and succeed if they were given the opportunity.
As a special education major and history minor, I have learned so much about helping children succeed. I am currently working toward my bachelors degree at Brenau University. This has enabled me to do various field experiences and an internship that deals with children of various ages. I have worked with all subjects from grades K-12. I have a social studies concentration with my major.
