My comments on tutoring Drawing : I have taken 13 years of private art class, going through painting, drawing, sketching, sculpting. Oils, Acrylics, and Watercolors. (Oils and Acrylics are preferred).

I would say my teaching style is really focused on the student and what they need. In school I was an average student never getting lower than a C or higher than in an A. So I really want to focus on listening to the student, especially because they probably are not heard at school. I want to make each subject interesting to the student, whether that means going out and playing basketball or chess or candy or anything the student absolutely loves. I want to attach each subject to a good memory, I don't want to pressure them or push them to just memorize facts that I know they will probably forget after they are tested. From my own personal experience I want any student I tutor to turn around and actually enjoy learning about a subject they are having trouble with.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been in the field of education for approximately 14 years of which the last 8 years have been special education. I have worked with students of all ages, on all skill levels and many with learning disabilities through 8th grade. I was a high school art teacher for two years and I worked in a college library for four years. I am able and willing to work with students of all ages. My emphasis has been the field of language arts; however, I taught middle school math for students with learning disabilities for two years. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a graduate student transitioning from physics to astrophysics, my goal being a PhD in Astrophysics. My undergraduate degree is a BS in Physics with a minor in astronomy. Because of the nature of physics, I have been exposed to many types of science and mathematics. I am also experienced with professional writing as required for producing lab reports and research papers, some of which were followed by presentation talks.
