A Little Bit About Me...

As a Fayetteville State University undergraduate, I did a lot of volunteer work with high school student. I also worked in the school's computer lab assisting students with classwork and homework. I have tutored students for the SATs. My specific field is English but I can also tutor in Spanish. I have an extensive amount of knowledge in grammar and composition as well as anything in the literature field.
My passion since I was 5 years old has always been teaching. I used to play teacher with my sisters and give themm stickers for job well done. I feel students will respect you and appreciate you if you relate to them. Not necessarily reduce yourself to their level but treat them like young adults. There have been many teachers throughout my career as a student that have greatly motivated me to succeed and I genuinely want to do the same for others.

I believe all children can do well at school if they are taught correctly. Every child learns differently and it is the job of the teacher to find the style that works for the student. Some students use verbal cues to learn while others visual, hands on or a variety of other approaches. The better we teach the children today the better the future is for everyone.
