I have been involved with the field of performing arts for over 15 years. Itrained with the former head of Vocal Performance at Florida State prior to competing in the Miss Florida Pageant. I also trained in ballet and gymnastics at The Ron Gallimore Olympic trainign Center. My back ground in the fields of dance and vocal performance have led to many exciting opportunities. I am an accomplished songwriter who has copy written works registerd with the US patent office. I was employed by the Interior Design department at FSU to teach undergraduate courses, being an instructor of record for the inital course for the department, Design Fundamentals. I have a passion for teaching and learning- it runs in the family as my husband is a middle school science and math teacher. Our parents are lifelong edcuators in Wakulla County. A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of a private college, I have always been driven to perform at the top of my game. I have received two Bachelors degrees in both English literature and theater. Early in my collegiate career I gained a position as a teaching assistant (TA) and taught a required first year course for 3 out of my 4 years of college. In this position, I noticed that a lot of writing skills were missing from first year students that I felt that they should hav possessed and created and implemented a collegiate level writing and researching workshop that the college still uses. In addition to my TA position, I tutored nursing students in anatomy and physiology and biology classes.

I have been in the teaching field for 2 years now and I love it. Although I've taught during VBS and other church functions, I have been in the Gadsden County School District for 2 years. I enjoy teaching. It is my passion. I believe that all children can learn with the guided instruction, love, and attention. I have taught in the Elementary filed until the recent budget cuts.
