My teaching style really depends on the person I am working with. People learn different ways. It is important to identify what works best for the person. For example, some people may learn through discussion, while others may need to see pictures or presentations of the subject matter. I like to identify how the person learns first through questions, or by testing them with a simple task first to identify the method which seems to work best for them. Once this has been identified, training can begin.
I have both a bachelors degree and masters degree in business administration/management. Both of these degrees have given me a high level of knowledge in many areas such as finance, accounting, math in general, writing, and presentations/projects. For three years at Florida State University I was enrolled in an excellent teacher education program. At the end of the program I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Social Science Education. While at Florida State University I received three certifications, Social Science Education (6-12), Professional Educator for (All Grades) and Integrated Curriculum (5-9). Obtaining the Integrated Curriculum certification made it so I can be certified to mentor and tutor students in all major subjects. Since then I have worked with multiple young students on both strengthening their education and building character. I feel that I develop not only better students, but better young men and women.
