A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had a niche towards teaching and helping others understand textbook problems, particularly in math. Having excelled in math in high school, it was always a subject I enjoyed learning and performed well in. Although the opportunity did not come often to do that while in college, I found myself involved in tutoring/mentoring high school students to prepare for SAT and life after high school. I would say that all people are capable of learning and improving their abilities, knowledge, and skill. My experience has been that if a child, youth, or adult is given the space in which to learn, and introduced to material in a patient manner, in the style that works for them (be that through explanation or visual learning, etc) they will take the initiative to learn and grow at the pace and direction which works for them.
