Have a very creative style when it comes to learning. Make lessons fun so it can set a positive environment for children and allow them to be more comfortable and enthusiastic.
Worked with "At Risk" 8th graders to help get them on a positive path to High School. Instructed forums for the students that provided with the necessary information to have a successful education. I Created Agendas for upstate youth detention facilities to motivate them to return back to school upon release. Working towards my B.S. in environmental studies I had the opportunity to work as a high school tutor in mathematics and science. I worked with children in a traditional manner, tutoring them after school by working through homework problems and past test/quiz questions. After graduation I began educating children at a nature center in a less traditional way. Here I worked with larger groups, taking them to explore nature, creating activities that were fun but also educational.
Having worked with children for many years in versatile environments, I have learned that every child has a unique way of learning. I love children. I love teaching children new things. I have great patience. I love helping children reach their full potential and discover new things. In the past I Substitute taught Kindergarten through 8th grade at all subjects for one year. I also taught preschool for one year.
