Earth Science is one of my top subjects! I have been a sixth thru eighth grade Paraprofessional for the past seven years.

My teaching style varies according to the student. I am able to adjust to the needs of the person or person I am tutoring.
I have 11 years of experience as a Paraprofessional on the secondary level. I work with children that have all kinds of learning disabilities and mild behavior problems. I have great skills in managing small groups of students and can carry out any accomodations on an IEP. I am fair, fun, but firm. Which means I want to make sure that you understand the lesson well and that you are capable of doing work like this whenever the need arises.

A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching to me is a vocation and not just a job. I enjoy helping children achieve their peek potential in the subject matter at hand. My teaching experience is mostly in private school settings and I taught public school for a year. I am currently waiting to be certified in Spanish in Virginia and will be taking the courses necessary to become a certified teacher in the near future. I have been an educator for 28 years, so obviously, I love what I do! My teaching style is to make each of my students understand the "why" of the siutaion. If a person(child or adult) understands why something is supposed to happen, then often the pieces will fall into place, especially in the math arena. I believe that all students can learn.
