My very first year of teaching was at the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts High School, and I also taught for two years at Northern Lehigh High School. Currently, I am resigned and staying home, but looking to work part time. I have experience teaching grades 7-12 and working with all types of students. Starting as a part time peer tutor at the Lehigh Carbon Community College and then moving to Kaplan Premier as an SAT Math tutor, and later to full time Math teacher in Northeast Philadelphia, PA, I enjoyed working with students of all levels and ages. I am a firm believer in differentiation. I am a very structured instructor, but I will adjust at a moment's notice if a lesson needs to be changed to be more effective. My graduate work focused on elementary students.My experience with young children, was learning to identify reading disabilities, administering standardized reading tests, to assess the instructional and readiness levels of individual students.
