I have been in the health care profession for almost 20 years. I began my nursing career as a nursing assistant, worked as a LPN for 6 years before I became a RN in 2004. I received my Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2013 and am currently studying for a Masters of Nursing as an Educator. A Little Bit About Me...

As far as I can remember I have always appreciated quality education. As a small boy I remember going to the small local library in Portsmouth, Virginia where the Librarian once said that she knew that if she would only have one patron for the day that it would be me. I have worked in three libraries during my career. During college I was selected as a Librarian Assitant based on my interest, academic achievement and overall poitive conduct at the university. After college later on in my carer after college I worked at both the Main Branch and one of the other locations in the City of Richmond, Virginia. I AM THE BEST!

I use a "student-centered" approach. I like to tap into the student's prior knowledge first so I can meet him/her where he/she is. I am a fan of assessments. They can either be verbal, nonverbal, formal, or informal.
I am currently a history teacher and have been teaching for 5 years. I received my BA in history from VCU in 2007.
